Hallmarking
I have a registered Hallmark at the London Assay Office, so any article of jewellery required to be hallmarked, will have my stamp (see below).
Articles below a certain weight are exempt from hallmarking. The exemption weight is based on the weight of the precious metal in the article, The weight exemption for Silver is 7.78 grams, so any jewellery that falls below that weight is not legally required to be Hallmarked. If your piece of jewellery has not been hallmarked because it falls below the exemption weight, but you would like it to be, then let me know and I can arrange for this to happen at a cost.
Weight Exemptions - for your information:
~Silver 7.78 grams
~Gold 1.0 gram
~Palladium 1.0 gram
~Platinum 0.5 grams
